Fullerene C60 oil, or buckminsterfullerene, refers to an allotrope molecule of carbon. Initially discovered in 1980 by Japanese physicist Sumio Iijima, C60 was the first carbon fullerene discovered outside of the commonly known graphite, graphene, diamond, and charcoal carbon allotropes.
